Meet Emily Van Doren, D.M.D, M.M.S.c
Dr. Van Doren believes that orthodontics has the power to change lives, as it did for her. She appreciates that every patient is unique and values the relationships she builds with patients during the course of their treatment. Dr. Van Doren loves the combination of art and science that is inherit to the field of orthodontics and feels so lucky to craft perfect smiles every day!
Education & Experience
Dr. Van Doren attended Tufts University, where she graduated summa cum laude and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and German.
She completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, orthodontic specialty certification, and Master of Medical Science degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Van Doren has received many academic awards during her dental and orthodontic education, including the American Association of Orthodontists Award, the American Prosthodontic Society Award, the Dr. Norman B. Nesbett Award for Excellence in Clinical Dentistry, and over 10 innovation awards.
As a result of her drive to continue to learn and improve in her field of study, Dr. Van Doren also has published research in the fields of biomedical engineering, bone and developmental biology, and dental education. Additionally, she is a co-founder of a dental education platform that is used to teach dental procedures in schools around the world.
Outside of the Office
Dr. Van Doren is originally from Readington township and is excited to be back in her hometown after living in Boston for 11 years. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her family and friends, to cook, to travel, and to stay active. In the summer, she relishes spending time with her family at the Jersey Shore. Dr. Van Doren loves to volunteer and is looking forward to getting involved in the community.
